WINTER 2010 WORKSHOP SERIES Straighten Up Your Spine – Learn to Align January 3th, January 11th and January 17th Back problems, digestive disorders, and other health issues, including depression, often come from misalignment of the spine, and poorly balanced posture. In this class the students will learn how to stand, sit, and lie down correctly, in order to improve their posture, strengthening the muscles essential to healthy postural alignment. January 6th, January 13th, January 20th and January 27th This series of four classes will explore yoga poses and breathing techniques which help the students learn how to relax and restore the body and mind from fatigue caused by factors such as stress, illness or jet lag. She used her unique knowledge and training to develop the pre-natal/post natal program for the prestigious B.K.S. Iyengar Yoga Institute in Los Angeles. Caring For Your Back – Relieve or Prevent an Aching Back February 7th, February 14th, and February 21th Medical studies have proven that Iyengar Yoga is the most effective way to heal a painful back, and/or maintain a healtly back.
