Straighten Up Your Spine – Learn to Align

January 3th, January 11th and January 17th
12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Back problems, digestive disorders, and other health issues, including depression, often come from misalignment of the spine, and poorly balanced posture. In this class the students will learn how to stand, sit, and lie down correctly, in order to improve their posture, strengthening the muscles essential to healthy postural alignment.




Relax and Renew

January 6th, January 13th, January 20th and January 27th
6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

This series of four classes will explore yoga poses and breathing techniques which help the students learn how to relax and restore the body and mind from fatigue caused by factors such as stress, illness or jet lag. A great way to recover from the holidays and start the new year!




Pre-Natal Yoga

January 6th, January 13th, January 20th and January 27th
10:15 a.m. – 11:45 a.m.

Mother of three children, Aileen studied with the Iyengars while pregnant. She used her unique knowledge and training to develop the pre-natal/post natal program for the prestigious B.K.S. Iyengar Yoga Institute in Los Angeles.

Pregnancy is a very special time, filled with joy, emotional swings, changing hormones, and bodily changes. Practicing yoga while pregnant is a safe way to tone the muscles in preparation for the birth and recovery after the birth, improve circulation, enhance lactation, and keep the mental and emotional state of the expecting mother calm and healthy. Poses will be modified for each individual according to her needs and how far along in the pregnancy the participant is.




Caring For Your Back – Relieve or Prevent an Aching Back

February 7th, February 14th, and February 21th
12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Medical studies have proven that Iyengar Yoga is the most effective way to heal a painful back, and/or maintain a healtly back. In this series of classes we will explore yoga poses which help relieve back pain, and sciatica, as well as strengthening techniques to maintain a healthy back.
